A note from the Board of Management
Sunbury Neighbourhood House is delighted to share some wonderful news with our community. We have recently been awarded a one-off grant of $50,000 from the State Government in recognition of the important role SNH plays in supporting our community. This funding will help ensure we can continue to keep our doors open and strengthen our programs.
This grant is the result of many years of hard work and advocacy, and more recently through the statewide ‘Keep Our Doors Open’ campaign, which highlighted the vital role neighbourhood houses play across Victoria. While we acknowledge that there has not been a broader increase in baseline funding for neighbourhood houses across the state, this one-off grant is a meaningful recognition of SNH and the needs of our local community.
We extend our sincere thanks to the State Government for this support, and in particular to our local MP, Josh Bull, for his ongoing advocacy and commitment to SNH.
We would like to share our heartfelt thanks with everyone who has supported SNH – by participating in programs, volunteering, contributing behind the scenes.
Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Board and staff, along with some difficult financial decisions, we have already begun to turn things around. This grant provides a vital boost to the opportunities we provide for the benefit of our community.
As we look ahead with renewed optimism, we warmly look forward to you being part of our future.
